According to reports, some Abuja communities like Kubwa and the adjoining satellite towns of Bwari, Dede, Dutse, Kaigini, among others are currently battling with access to water that most of them have resorted to taking water from the streams, river and ponds.

A resident in Kubwa who identified herself as Aisha described the situation as worrisome while calling on the relevant authorities to ensure that water was restored.

She said: “This is Kubwa and we come to this borehole every day and you have to wake up by 4am and queue because if you don’t come on time, you will not get water.
